The island is approximately eight miles (13 km) in length and tipped up towards the west. The west coast is dominated by steep white, chalky cliffs that are greatly eroded at sea level, and harbour many ‘blue caves’, which can be explored on launches departing from Gaios. Much of the attractive landscape is still covered in olive groves. 

The beach of Petriti is situated in the southern part of Corfu. The beach has small pebbles and rock and it is not organized.

Antipaxos is a small island (5 km²) in Greece, about 3 kilometres (2 miles) to the south of Paxos. As of 2011, the resident population of the island was 20. Largely covered in vineyards, Antipaxos has several beaches and one harbour, Agrapidia. It has three main beaches: Vrika (white sand), Mesovrika (pebbles) an Voutoumi (pebbles) and it can be reached by 15-minute ride with a sea-taxi from the port of Gaios in Paxos.

Built around a secluded bay that faces the Ionian Sea, Parga has an island ambiance. With its colorful houses, exotic beaches with turquoise waters and cobbled stone streets, it is a famous holiday destination.
